Meet the Band

Sci-Fried was born out of a love for rock music and our passion for all things geek.  We take a mainstream rock sound and mix it with lyrical content based on our geek passions.   Sci-Fried has been referred to as the "Motley Crue of Geek Rock" by Geek Dad from Wired Magazine.

Sci-Fried has release three albums since their launch in 2008.  Ramming Speed is an all parody CD based on a wide variety of popular classic and modern rock songs. Geeks Unite was the band's first release of all original rock music infused with science fiction, fantasy, gaming and all things geek as lyrical themes.  The band sponsored a breakout tour in 2010 playing at nightclubs, festivals and sci-fi themed conventions throughout the southeast. The tour was well received and the band's fan base increased exponentially. Playing live fueled their desire to create a new album and in 2011 they released Future Tense.  Sci-Fried continues the evolution of geek rock music with more live shows and releasing top quality music videos.

Sci-Fried has shared the stage with MC Frontalot, Less Than Jake, The Protomen, Kirby Krackle, Schaffer The Darklord, The Great Luke Ski, The Megas, The Killer Robots, Zealous1, The Boss Fights, Doctor Awkward, Shael Riley and Double Ice Backfire, Devo Spice, Krondor Krew, Captain Dan and the Scurvy Crew, Emergency Pizza Party, Consortium of Genius, Fields of Glass, Rappy McRapperson, George Hrab, Marc With a C, Random Encounter, Random, Epic1, King Pheenix, Madhatter McGinnis, Scrub Club, Mother Machine Gun, Fine Lady Mustache and many others. Their mission is to continue to play at conventions, Festivals and clubs.  Sci-Fried is also looking to expand their live shows to the West coast where Geek music thrives.

Sci-Fried has also earned several video awards from Creation Conventions over the last 3 years including Creation's Vancouver based Official Stargate Convention and Creation's Official Star Trek Convention in Las Vegas. After winning the Battlecon Battle of the bands in 2010 The group was named Breakout Artist of the Year by Freaking Geek Show.
